Lately I've come to the realisation that true inspiration is all around us. Sometimes it's quite obvious when it's right before our eyes, other times we have to work a little harder to seek it. Which ever way you discover inspiration, the real learning is that in the end the discovery is worth it.
I've been spending a lot of time on the web, browsing at different blogs and sites to discover something new, unique, authentic and creative. I've been so fortunate to find this site called "Creative Review". Creative Review (CR) is a magazine that was launched in London in 1980, the magazine specialises in visual communication. To me, this magazine embraces culture, diversity, creativity, lifestyle and everything that is good about Art. I can't boast enough about CR, I really heart visiting this site everyday to learn something new and being inspired like never before!
This is the current issue of CR which I managed to track down in the Borders bookstore in Australia.
This is a fantastic visual page of what the magazine has to offer.
I love visiting different bookstores around Melbourne, browsing the shelves for new information. I picked up this magazine on the weekend at Borders, "Artful Blogging". This is a creative magazine show casing different artists and crafters around the world and their wonderful blogs, enough inspiration for any blogger newbies.
This is one of the inspiring blogs that has kept me entertained for the past few days:
The beautiful designs of Valentina Ramos.
The wonderful artwork of Mati Rose McDonough.
I have to say that lately I've had such a itch for finding new forms of Art. I love softies making don't get me wrong, but I am so intrigued about other mediums of Art and the authenticity it has to offer. I've recently discovered how much I love graphics design and animation and I would love to learn more about them, so keep your eyes on this space as I learn more about different mediums of Art and try them for the first time! :)
